Hello!
I'm a brand new seller and had a few questions about bricklinks micropayments
account feature.
I've not yet set up one yet but wanted to know if I should or what exactly
it does.
I'm located in the U.S and only currently ship to the U.S.
Is micropayments made so that Paypal doesn't take more of a fee?
Hello!
I'm a brand new seller and had a few questions about bricklinks micropayments
account feature.
I've not yet set up one yet but wanted to know if I should or what exactly
it does.

Is micropayments made so that Paypal doesn't take more of a fee?
Yes, they take a smaller fee for payments under a certain amount. I think if
you have a business PayPal account it's already baked in.
Is micropayments made so that Paypal doesn't take more of a fee?
Yes, it's an account feature that you can enable in your PayPal account so
that you pay lower fees for small transactions. In the UK, the cut-off is about
GBP11 - so for transactions lower than this it's cheaper with a micropayments
account but for orders over, it's cheaper with a normal account.
You can only have your account set to micropayments or not - you can't have
both with one account. The only way to get around this is to use two PayPal accounts
and ensure that you configure the appropriate cut-off in your Bricklink settings
and link your micropayments PayPal account.
You have to contact PayPal customer support to enable micropayments - there's
no obvious way that I found to do it without talking to someone.
The savings are marginal unless you sell a significant quantity of small value
orders.
