...tired and just before bed.

Not Lego, but we seem to have a high preponderance of geeks here, thought they
may like this.

I was getting all kinds of spam from different .co TLD yesterday and it was getting
annoying. So, at the end of the day, right before bed. I created a new rule in
my email filters on my server.

Where from contains .co discard message

I'll let the geeks here see if they can find the issue.

I changed it this morning after seeing I had zero emails overnight (only happens
when I put stupid rules in place) to

Where from ends with .co discard message

Tested it and it now works as expected.

Doh!

Hi hi

Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner. Fortunately, I have Bricklink seller's
order list, but it makes me wonder, what emails did I miss out on overnight.

Discard doesn't send them to a Trash folder you can read them/move them back?

Can't move those messages to another existing folder SPAM or you create?

Yes, but I am not a smart man. I, obviously, prefer the painful way.

.gov != .co

(I can't believe these scams still work!)

Well, they are aiming at uneducated people: people who don’t see the obvious
clues (spelling/typos, bad phrasing, strange procedures, or why is even the UN
mentioned?).
And at the risk of passing for even more the arrogant French (that I’m), there’s
no shortage of that kind of people.

For info, these scams already existed before the Internet.  My father had clients
who got scammed by a Nigerian prince in the early 1980s, through snail mail.

Which is BTW why they're always speeling/typos in scams.

We name them "saucissons" in French.

It has the effect to automatically reject people with a level of education who
wouldn't be clients anyway, or worse could pose problems, or play with them
and they'd lose their time.

Yes.  I’m sure it’s an intentional typo to filter out the educated

Also, how to comfort someone with grammar problems?
You pat them on the shoulder and whisper 'There, they’re, their.'

Another option would be to mark the TLD (Top Level Domain) .CO as Junk

Then mark your Junk mail to 'Permanently delete suspected junk mail'

In the Outlook, the Junk Mail options allow blocking not only TLDs but also Character
Set Encoding used for other languages (Cyrillic, Chinese, etc).

Currently I have 50 email rules and 100+ TLDs/Character Sets blocked. There
is a limit to the amount of space email rules can take up. I used to hit the
limit before you could set Junk Mail Options.
