Thanks, but...
For those that continuously post USPS rate hikes: they are as foreseeable as
they are inevitable. Simply factor the inflationary increases that have historically
taken place, into your shipping costs. No need for such updates, they will continue
to increase, anually

American are super lucky to have USPS at it's domestic rates. Shipping in
and out of Canada has gotten insanely expensive.

| Yeah parcel rates in Canada are crazy, some places are like $22 minimum even
if its only a couple of hundred grams and slightly over 2 cm meanwhile it's
cheaper (using chit chats) to ship to the USA

That's crazy. USPS domestic rates are pretty reasonable, but international
shipping is very expensive, even to Canada.

| Meanwhile, I can ship something to the USA for about $7.50 CAD I guess its
since USPS is just so much bigger than Canada post and has more competition

How is VIA Rail? Amtrak is pretty bad, but I've heard that VIA Rail is even
worse…

which is what I'm assuming your asking) much

Indeed, it appears that U.S. postage rates have remained relatively stable over
the past half century or so. The chart below is for first class letters, but
the same is true of first class and priority mail packages.

Priority Mail used to be $2.90
And it used to be possible to ship small bubble mailers for 63 cents not all
that many years ago. After that, the rate jumped to like $1.75.
Parcel Rates have shot up like 500 percent in just the time that BL has existed
(23 years).

Adjusted for inflation, that is.
You may be right about packages, but letters have not changed much. $0.10 had
same buying power in 1974 that $0.60 does today.
Of course, the relative price of consumer goods changes over time, so these comparisons
are somewhat meaningless. Suffice to say postage rates have increased over time.
