| How many times did it happen me that after sending the potential buyer, they
go into total radioshadow. It seem to me like a total waste of time to sends
photos on request. Those persons never buy!
What is this all about? I have generally okay quality on both sets and photos.
Is this a general experience out there?

| Thats just what happens most times unfortunately, it’s for reason like that that
most seller (myself included) dont provide photos if a buyer asks for them in
most cases (still sometimes do if it’s someone we know or rare/expensive part/set)

I believe, in all my time selling, only 1 buyer who asked for a picture actually
bought the item. It is indeed a waste of time.

| Sets - I send these because I already have the photos for listing on other venues.
Some sellers don't send set photos because they could be used for scams.
Pieces - would consider sending photos only if the piece is expensive.
In any event, these requests almost never result in a sale and are a waste of
time.

| Common sense says not to send pics to a new user from who knows where, but maybe try it out with an experienced buyer from your country!

Well this poor advice imo. I had a Porsche 40256 new in box at the cheapest price
on BL. Got lots of interest, every one asking for photos as it was an open box.
I ended up selling it to a new buyer from who knows where for 650 euro.
So yes, good customer service is to send photos upon request. And if you don't
hear back you can send one follow up email and then forget about it.
As a seller you need to put in a bit of work to sell a set sometimes. There is
no hassle in emailing photos to someone. Its a 2 minute task.

If it is an experienced and active buyer with reasonable feedback, I might. Otherwise,
chances are no. I'm not getting stuff out of storage, then photographing
it, then putting it away again on the off-chance they might buy.
I once had a request asking for photos, so I obliged. They then asked for more
photos of the front and back and all four sides of the box but with a piece of
paper with their name and the date on. At which point I realised they were using
my photos to pretend they had the set for selling / scamming elsewhere.

I think i will refuse sending photos from now, except when there is special issues
with it.

| For me it's the other wayy round ..
I will ask for a picture (only for rare vintage printed parts that are ALWAYS
listed at a very high price, but NO pic of actual item) and in most cases I DO
NOT get an answer
If I'm about to drop 50-100EUR on a part, I want a pic!
Cheers,
Ole
