| I haven't sold for quite a few years and now want to, so I obviously had
to update everything.
If you have a minute or two please take a look and critique what I have done.
(Inventory is still in a stockroom.)
Thanks for your help,
Heidi

Thank you for your insight.
Yes, I agree with you. We went round and round on that and decided that we would
work up to that as soon as possible.

Don't be in a big rush to move to Instant Checkout. Give yourself several
weeks or months to get re-acclimated to selling.
I do not use Instant Checkout and I do pretty well as far as getting orders.
Perhaps some buyers stay away from manual invoice shops for whatever reasons,
but not having IC won't prevent orders from coming in.

Since you mention that much of your inventory is older, you may want to make
some comments regarding possible discoloration of (White) pieces.
Much of my inventory is older, too, and even being new and having been stored
in dark boxes for years, I have had A LOT of discolored White and some Blue parts
that I have had to completely discard -- and it sucks to find discolored
items after someone has ordered them.
Despite best efforts, discoloration of older parts happens. Sometimes, when
you least expect it. For example, I discovered a whole pile of discolored DARK
BLUE minifig legs that I deemed unsellable, so I kept them for myself to play
with. I had never seen any Dark Blue parts get discolored until then.

Thank you very much for your reply. You have made some very good points. I haven't
seen many discolored parts that have made it this far I will make a point to
keep that in mind.

Instant checkout is not necessary as long as onsite payment is enabled

I think it depends largely on whether you sell on multiple platforms but even
if you don't it can still present problems and when dealing with thousands
of Lego parts personally I think its important to be able to check everything
prior to taking payment because however careful you might be you could find yourself
refunding buyers (Less paypal fees) more often than you'd like which is neither
good for you or your customer. I prefer to treat an order like a quote just
in case something is damaged, misplaced or listed incorrectly
Yes instant checkout is definitely a positive draw for buyers as its a lot more
clear exactly what they will be paying in shipping and fees before committing
to checkout however with the seller stating that cancellations are possible any
fears of being caught out and tied into a transaction are already eradicated
leaving buyers with that same peace of mind

Super lots are hidden from catalog searches by default so buyers will have trouble
finding items in your store. You may want to list each item individually.

I really recommend having both Manual & Instant checkout. Some buyers prefer
IC and will avoid your store if you do not offer it. You can always set sets
& bigger bulkier parts to manual if you would rather send an invoice. I use
both options in my own store and it works just fine.
