| I received my first non positive feedback today, when looking into the buyers
recent left feedback, the last 4 say "never received got refund"
After the order was placed, the buyer messaged me to change the postcode as he'd
entered wrong on brick link, after checking the new postcode on google, it seemed
to marry up to his address so I agreed.
When I track the package on RM it seems to confirm it hasn't been delivered
so I can only assume the buyers address is dodgy. Does anyone have any experience
with this? Is there anything that can be done to prevent other sellers sending
to this seemingly dodgy address?
Thanks

Apologies, this should say "buyer providing a dodgy address"

I think I would have cancelled the order. For four orders to go missing in a
short time period suggests either the buyer is dodgy or their postman is. And
this is at the seller's expense. Even if you've a delivery confirmation
but to a different postcode - so not what the buyer tells PayPal is their address
- I doubt that helps if they go on to file a claim through PayPal.

I just realized the timescale of this, that those feedbacks came after posting.
It may be that they don't bother to collect if they receive a RM card.

Still, given this feedback left record, it might be advisable to block this buyer
to save the hassle of uncollected packages and returns.

As another poster mentioned, always cancel an order when a buyer asks you to
change the address . We state on our store terms that we ship to the Paypal address
if they use that for payment and the Stripe/BL address for those. No exceptions.
If you change the address and the buyer pays with PP, any disputes down the road,
Paypal will always side with the buyer - you are no longer covered under Paypal
seller protection. What I tell buyers ( happened once) is that I will cancel
the order, refund and they can replace the order if they wish but I cannot change
their address. I'd rather eat the small paypal fee to refund than to end
up refunding a larger amount. I generally stoplist the buyer at that point anyway
, just in case it's a scam of some sort. I know it's a cynical attitude
but I work in online sales and there is fraud everywhere.

Er, I think there’s a contradiction there.

Yes, I don't agree.
