| has anyone proven the heads are fake?
have the 1000 fake Jokers been verified as Fakes & destroyed?
is the email real...?
do you jump on a trampoline or are you just bouncing...?
ahhh Questions without answers..
2022!!
... watching the residents of the Forum twist themselves into a position of not
condoning F'Lego's, but trying to manipulate the situation to favor their
inventories
.. is , well
-- Fascinating..
it would seem, the point of this entire exercise is simple, stop bragging you
have 5,000 of something to try to make yourself seem important.
allowing members to flood a marketplace with 5,00o of a same item when regular
levels of that particular available item are typically very low only destroys
the entire collectible value of that rare item...
here's an idea.. how about Stock Level Limits on high end/ rare bricks /
mini-figures..
don't allow members to sell 1,000 Joker's.. only allow them to
sell say 20 at any time..
applied to all members across the board.
not applied to all bricks & figures, but limiting inventory levels on rare /
high end pieces will only raise values of those pieces for everyone selling them.
& questions like "why do you have 1,000 of these" never come up...
you have 1,000, ok cool you are special, but you can only sell 20 at any given
time.. or whatever limit level Brinklink deems appropriate..
... thoughts?

| I have only 1 request to everyone in this group as I was a victim of this, please
do not form chat groups behind the back of the sellers, lets have a healthy discussion
involve or at least give the seller a chance to explain. In my case it took me
30 days to prove my innocence. My store is back open. Thanks for all the people
who supported me.
From now on, I will take pictures of all shipments I buy and post them in the
chat before I list the figures so that no one has any doubts.

Doesn't matter if the Jokers were fake or not, cuz they're back on the
market as though nothing ever happened lol, they send out a warning & then reinstate
one of the stores that lines up with the exact thing they say to be wary of?
What I don't get is why they're asking us to be vigilant if nothing is
going to be done about it...

Don't, this is private info for a Company!
Just keep your invoices and all proofs ready in case.
But that's what a professional is supposed to do - you must know this.

I had over a hundred Jar Jar Binks heads. With what is on the forum would I
be able to sell them? Some Star Wars figures from around 2000 I had 30 or 40.
Would I be closed for selling those now?

Probably no one would even want Jar Jar Binks anyway. I did sell them though.

Maybe it is because, after you reported the store and BL suspended, BL have actually
taken a look at the evidence the store has supplied and BL have found that the
seller did actually purchase those pallet loads of UCS sets legitimately. Or
the seller has agreed to work on their inventory and to remove all the Joker
figures from bricklink.
One thing is clear. If you have 100 of the same figure (or even 10+), whether
the figure is rare or common, then don't list them all at once.
This action will make it even harder for people to decide whether to buy from
a store or not. Even though there are perfectly legitimate reasons that a store
could have large numbers of a rare figure, I'd probably be cautious and not
buy from such a store. Now the witch hunt has begun, and sellers will be wary
of listing large numbers and instead list smaller amounts, the option of using
caution and not buying from a seller with large amounts of one figure is taken
away.
If a seller has large numbers of a figure (whether legitimate or fake), clearly
the best thing to do is part out the high value parts of just one set, pricing
them at 5x the going rate. Then have a few of the rare figures in the store,
replenishing them once sold. That way, the parts will never sell (or if they
do, they go for a good price) and they have the evidence of having parted out
the set that the minifigure comes from.

If someone has 1000 fake minifigs to sell, this isn't going to have an effect.
I don't think anyone is buying 1000 from them. Lots of people are selling
1. So they'd just need to keep adding every day or so. It would help them
go under the radar more, but it wouldn't stop people from selling fakes.

nothing is going to stop counterfeits / fakes.. but limiting inventory levels
of known fakes would prevent the counterfeitors / 'factory pocket theives'
from bulk selling on this website.
this week they are printing Luke heads
last month it was Jokers apparently
next month it might be some Chima figure or a modified decorated red 2x4 brick..
who knows...

| I agree with you, it is upto LEGO to come up with a way to protect their BRAND.
I personally believe that a person so good an artist to replicate the LEGO designs
without having access to the original designs will not do this and then list
the items on bricklink which is a LEGO company, that's like printing fake
currency and going to the bank to deposit the money. Anyhow hoping that LEGO
as a company will plug their leaks and come up with a better way to deal with
fakes without harassing genuine fans and business people who deal with LEGO.
