For those of you who ship international and use Pirate ship, is it fairly straightforward
or do you have any tips ?

I used to do international shipping on Paypyal before COVID struck and then I
switched to just domestic US. Now I use Pirate ship and while it looks fairly
easy, I'd like to know what those of you have experienced, any issues with
the customs form or the new VAT (not sure if applicable). Thanks in advance.

It seems that Pirate Ship is the way to go now for international shipping. PayPal
doesn't have a field for the IOSS number so there are reports of buyers getting
charged VAT twice.

I have been using Pirate Ship exclusively for international orders for
Quite some time. No problems of any sort. The address is for a clearing station
before
The PKG. Is shipped overseas. They will give you a tracking
Number that starts with AHOY, This number will only track the
PKG. Until it leaves the USA. There will be a delivery tracking number available
later to
Track it to it's distinction. I try to get this to the customer ASAP . Customer
service
Is excellent and you can buy insurance under extra services right
On their site.

To be clear this is for the Simple Export Rate which you can use (you may have
to contact support to get it added to your account, but this is an easy process)
but you don't have to use that service. You can still send your packages
First Class or Priority Int'l (which costs significantly more).

You can use

https://parcelsapp.com/en/tracking/

to track everything. This tracking service even shows next tracking numbers (when
for example Pirate Ship's AHOYxxx is replaced with GLS, DPD, national Post
Service's tracking number...

It can track (almost?) anything.

As stated, anything that requires an IOSS number, use Pirateship, everything
else can go through Paypal.
