We bought a collector's complete collection a short while back.

All the items in there are Lego, he had a strict 'no non-lego items'
policy.

In his collection were 10 black rubber bands with round cross-section that measure
around 10-11 in studs.

I can't seem to find this item in the catalog.

The rubber feels the same and has the same thickness as a genuine lego part but
there obviously isn't any number or etching on it.

Anyone know what this is? Is it an item that's missing from the catalog?
Picture attached.

Maybe?? Look at the seller’s pictures.

Ok, so it won’t let me add the macro. Part number 71059. Here’s the link. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=71059&name=Rubber%20Belt%20Extra%20Extra%20Large%20(Round%20Cross%20Section)%20-%20Approx.%207%20x%207&category=%5BRubber%20Band%20&%20Belt%5D#T=S&O={%22ss%22:%22US%22,%22rpp%22:%22500%22,%22iconly%22:0}

Using the interface: click - click - click - numbers… - fail.

Typing the macro: [ p= numbers ] - done.  Fewer movements.

Yes, they do look a lot like that.

Does anyone have one in blue that they can put over a baseplate to see if it's
actually 7x7 or 11x11?

The thing that's stopping us from listing it as 71059 is that the description
says 7x7 and ours is clearly 10x10.

If someone has a 71059 that they can put over a baseplate to confirm that the
7x7 is actually 10x10 it would be helpful. If not, we're kind of stumped
here.

71059 officially only comes in blue. So even if the title is wrong (what I don't
believe) there would still be the question why someone had ten of these in black.

At this time I would say it is not Lego. What else did you find in that collection
(which themes, how old,...)?

There was a lot of 80s technic, some Star Wars, Western, some old Castles and
a few old space, for instance one of the space monorail sets, don't remember
which one as they were parted out. Some were still new, some had been exposed.
Most of the sets were from the 80s-90s.

Sadly I can't ask him for any precisions as his widow sold us the collection,
and it would be weird to ask her for more details.
