Hi,

I made a mistake and sold a Motor 6216m1 instead of 6216m2. This is my fault,
I agree.
The buyer was of course unsatisfied. I made a refund for the part and explained
I made a mistake and finally don't have the right part. I thought it would
be sufficient and asked the buyer if he could mark the order as Complete. But
the buyer asked again for clarification and told me that it is not a good customer
service... I can't clarify more ! I have a 100% praise feedback because I
never had problems buying and selling here, but I am human so mistakes can happen.
What can I do ?

But why? It make no difference what status the order is in whether it stays as
shipped, received, or completed. The buyer might not feel like it’s been completed
so I would avoid asking the buyer to change it.

To be fair to the buyer if he didn’t get everything that was ordered and then
the seller asked him to mark the order as complete he would wonder why is that

It's false.
We'll get the same amount but with more accounting (VAT depending the Country)
and have to pay it every 3 months.
In short, same amount, but more to do.

Mistakes can happen for all of us!

If you refunded for the part, but not for the shipping the buyer paid, they will
have lost money when they have to order again from a different shop. I believe
it's best to ask a buyer what resolution they would prefer instead of just
refund and done. Some buyers are fine with a refund, some feel it is only fair
to refund an appropriate amount of shipping, some want the part shipped to them
no matter what.

Why do they need to make the order Complete? That is not a required step on their
part and could add to their confusion. There is nothing about the Order Status
process that requires a buyer to take any of those actions.

Perhaps you can reach out to your buyer again and ask them how they would like
to proceed?
