Please make changes to the following inventory:

Set No: 5856 Name: Paprika and the Mischievous Monkey
*
5856-1 (Inv) Paprika and the Mischievous Monkey
46 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 2003
Sets: Belville: Golden Land

* Change 1 Part {Light Pink to Pink} belvskirt01 Belville, Clothes Skirt Long, Sheer with Jewel

Comments from Submitter:
Now that the first TLG 17 Rose ID has been moved to the Light Pink color, it may be time to at least consider moving the rest of these “Light Pink” parts out of the BL color. It is known that whatever BL Light Pink correlates to, doesn’t actually exist. It’s much better than actually deleting it.

Which 'first move' do you mean? There was a move to Light Pink.
There are only 3 items in Light Pink in the catalog. Which ones should be moved
out of the BL color. I really don't understand what you are writing here.

And did you check that this Belville Skirt actually is Pink?

Now that the color box has been changed, I believe it is a good idea to finish
moving the existing parts out of BL Light Pink. It's another case of Rust
containing parts that were once thought to be their own color, but nothing actually
correlates to these. The necklaces have been moved in and out of Light Pink for
quite some time and the only ones in Light Salmon have been found. What BL eventually
wants Light Pink to correlate to was last used in 1994/1995 (this one needs some
strong evidence for an exit year).

The necklaces have only been found in Light Salmon.
The skirt from 2003 can't be Rose because it hadn't been used for a part
for a long time. Pink is the closest color.
The 2007 skirt doesn't really match anything. A lot of cloth parts from this
era tend to be color 0.

I still would like to know about this color Light Pink that in your opinion stands
for TLG 17 Rose though. You are also saying: What BL eventually wants Light Pink
to correlate to was last used in 1994/1995. Are you talking about that same 'TLG
17 Rose' here? And if so, which part(s) were produced in TLG 17 back in 1994/1995?
Do you also have a PCC?

For the only parts in Light Pink that are in the catalog now, start in 1999 and
you want all of them to be moved from Light Pink.

So I still don't understand your very first comments with this request:
"Now that the first TLG 17 Rose ID has been moved to the Light Pink color, it

TLG 17 Rose has been moved to BL Light Pink, although there's no proof any
part ever came in TLG 17, but there is proof it only came in 1994/1995??

This could be caused by the material/fabrics, but it does explain the confusion
about the color Light Pink. And not having an actual Light Pink (TLG 17) part
to compare it with it's understandable that a lot of people see these as
Light Pink.

I will add images to this threat this weekend and give my opinion about the colors
of these three parts.

Rose is sometimes called "Paradisa Pink" because it was first introdueced in
the Paradisa line.

17 Rose was used from 1991 to 1994/5. I cannot confirm whether the speedboat
has any as alternates, but it is likely.

Scroll through the PCCs for 3068b, 3023, and any “Pink” parts in sets from 1991-1993.
The current Light Pink parts face the same problem that Rust parts and old BL
Flat Silver parts do/did.

If the cloth parts have an official color designation, then it is probably just
0.

This might also be Rose: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=973pb0039c01&idColor=23#T=S&C=23&O=%7B%22color%22:23,%22iconly%22:0%7D

This color is often sold as Light Pink or “discolored Pink” because it is slightly
more yellow than Belville Pink. The RGB codes on the Color Guide page are a good
online comparison of these two colors. Here are a few parts: https://www.flickr.com/photos/126975831@N07/14776964407/in/photolist-ovMNGp

I can confirm that parts 6091, 4744, 4599a, 3068b, 3069b, 3023, 3024, and 3623
also appear in Rose.

Here is another good comparison photo: https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1202610

The cloth piece from 2007 should be made 0 or N/A so as not to mess with the
Pink timeline, which is correct in saying that it was last used in 2005. It does
follow the rule that no other color exists in that part, making it possible for
it to be N/A on Bricklink.

This mini-project will absolutely need sealed sets for evidence, especially around
1994. I do not have much experience with sets from the mid-90s or whether they
included alternate colors in later copies.

Old Dark Pink and Belville Pink were both introduced in 1994. I believe they
would have been considered replacements for Medium Dark Pink and Rose/Light Pink.
AFAIK, Medium Dark Pink was not used in 1994 in any solid parts, but Rose was.

This part may have Medium Dark Pink print (maybe 15 Lemon too?):
[P=3068pb19,1]

This part looks to have Medium Dark Pink print:

Part No: 3960pb001 Name: Dish 4 x 4 Inverted (Radar) with Solid Stud with Thick Pink and Thin Light Green Stripes Pattern
*
3960pb001 Dish 4 x 4 Inverted (Radar) with Solid Stud with Thick Pink and Thin Light Green Stripes Pattern
Parts: Dish, Decorated {White}

Rose and Belville Pink should have both been used in 1994.

That is for gear items, not parts.

Thank you all for the additional info on pink colors.
I had a Pink Fence laying around and checked the skirt with that, when I said
it doesn't look like Pink. Turns out this was Paradisa Pink.

I searched for more Pink parts and it does indeed match the newer Pink parts
(not paradisa). They don't show up in all shown images, but imo these are
definately Pink.

Imo (looking at the top of the skirt were the cloth comes together), also the
skirt below looks Pink to me. Added some bright pink tiles to the images, it
doesn't match.

The 50939 cloth isn’t going to match anything. 4500112 is too high an ID for
this part to officially be labeled “Pink”. LEGO probably just calls it 0/Undefined.
I still believe this should go under N/A so as not to mess with any timelines.

This Bed Veil I have is in a very bad shape. Maybe it's also yellowed / faded?
I really was hoping it would turn out to be Bright Pink.
I guess we will have to wait for new evidence, before we can remove it from Light
Pink.

The material is very thin, so the color is going to look muted. However, the
only pink color it could be for the date of release is Bright Pink if it is to
stay within the color system. I am going to move it to Bright Pink.

Cheers,
Randy
