This set has been the focal point of a bit of research. 4679b-2 contains parts
in both old and new Dark Pink, all of which display a lot of variation.

3001: Both are New Dark Pink and are significantly redder than modern New Dark
Pink. This shade is comparable to other New Dark Pink parts from 2004-06.

3003: Both are Old Dark Pink.

3622: This set contains one of each of the aforementioned colors. The TLG 221
brick matches the 3001s. The TLG 22 brick does not match the 3003s, but does
match another Old Dark Pink variant from 2003.

Catalog notes for colors are obviously not ideal, but Bricklink doesn’t recognize
the two different Dark Pink colors. Old Dark Pink appears in about 150 or so
parts, so maybe one day we’ll see it moved out of the current Dark Pink. Many
of those parts only appeared in TLG 22, but this will have to do for now. Enough
progress is already being made.

This set and 4562 are the only sets that contain both colors. This set marks
the last appearance of Old Dark Pink.
