Hi Everyone!

I hope someone can help with the below, greatly appreciated if so

I'm doing a gradual change in price for new pieces I upload, but want to
keep my current price for the pieces I already have listed. All my pieces are
currently from parted out sets so I use the part out option to add to inventory.
I know I can upload pieces at a new price if I don't consolidate the next
time I add to inventory by part out, and then have 2 listings for the same lot.

My question is what happens if I then use the consolidate option when I already
have 2 separate listings? Will it consolidate with one of the previous listings,
And if so which one?

Also, I know this isn't ideal as due to practicalities I'm definitely
going to end up with more than two listings for lots that I will have to tidy
up after, but I can't think of a better way. Again, if anyone can think of
alternative solutions id be grateful.

Cheers

Joe

Hey Joe

Why don't you try it with only one piece first and see what happens?

You can simply delete that uploaded part if you don't like the results.

greetings
Alexander

The problem with that solution is that the consolidate might not just affect
the one new piece, but all the double listings already existing, which is what
the OP is trying to avoid. I don't know the answer to the question, I'm
afraid, I can recommend Brickstock though - there you can save your inventory
(or any other list you want) locally, and mess around as much as you want without
endangering the brickling inventory.

If you differentiate the description field consolidate option will consolidate
matching the descriptions. For ex. for one lot empty, filled for another.

If you follow this route you'll face the bug I encountered and reported (alas
with no confirmation from the site)

I use this approach to sell on behalf of my son... hard to keep them away in

If the need is simply pricing though I would suggest consolidating as usual but
keeping the new stock quantities marked in the remarks. With the retain option
I would check items depleting and hence moving into stockroom A and then refill
manually from the remarks & reprice along the way.
