Hi all,

I've recently been forced to upgrade my laptop so went for a brand new top-of-the-line
model with NVIDIA supported GPU (for all the Studio renders I do ) - for
the other uber nerds out there, it's a straight-out-of-the-box Asus A15F
(or F15) TUF gaming laptop but *upgraded* from Windows 11 back to Windows 10.

On my previous laptop (HP eq1 on which the GPU is almost deceased despite only
doing CPU renders ) I was able to have several BL tabs open at once and rarely
needed to re-login, maybe once every few days at which point I'd close all
except for one tab, re-login, and then re-open the tabs from there (so the session
IDs didn't get mixed up).

On my new laptop, however, I'm having to re-login multiple times a day sometimes.
I've got a couple order pages open because they're extremely large and
I'm having difficulty processing them to verify all the parts. This shouldn't
be interfering but don't know what else unless there's an issue with
my hardware??? Everything else runs more than fine...

The session IDs shouldn't matter as it theoretically should be one per tab,
but constantly having to do this is painful because it sometimes occurs while
editing a wanted list and that is screwing up some of them (on top of the other
wanted list issues I've encountered).

Yes, I've got the "remember me" checked. Every. Time. Makes no difference.

Anyone got any thoughts???

Thanks and best regards,
-J

I suggest to NEVER use the BL remember me function. Instead, allow your web
browser to remember your BL password. Then, you will not have to remember nor
re-type it.

No matter what you do, having to log in again from time to time is just the way
it is.

When I have not used BL for several hours, I find that hitting the F5 key to
reload the page keeps me logged in.

And rather than closing tabs where you have work in progress, open a New Tab
to make sure you are logged in. Then, you can successfully use the old tabs
without losing whatever task was in progress.

BL has a bug, involving selecting only necessary cookies. If you select
all cookies, the problem may go away. This was observed on an iPhone, with current
iOS, not on Windows.

BL has a bug, involving selecting only necessary cookies.

This is not a bug:
— only necessary cookies are mandatory, all the others are opt-in, not opt-out,
— remembering you or not is a preference, it’s a convenience, it’s not necessary,
unless you’ve a weird¹ definition of necessary.

¹ Or a data-seller-oriented definition, as in “how can I make money if I can’t
take all your data without your consent?”, which is exactly why we have privacy
laws (GPDR & CCPA) and cookie settings.

   If you select
all cookies, the problem may go away. This was observed on an iPhone, with current
iOS, not on Windows.
