| Hello,
I have the following problem:
A buyer bought a minifigure from my shop that was still sealed in the bag and
also received it.
Now the order has been set to "Received" for days and the buyer does not respond
to the request to close the order.
I know what he is pushing for: He wants to force me to give a valuation first
and only then does the buyer set the order to "Completed".
This is clearly against the terms of BrickLink.
What should I do or who from BrickLink can help me?
Best regards Daniel and stay healthy.

| Not everyone “closes” orders. Sometimes they are left on shipped sometimes they
are left on received and sometimes they are left of completed. I wouldnt worry
about it at all. If the buyer has paid and you’ve shipped the order out and there
hasn’t been any messages regarding any problems worth the order then the transaction
is finished and nothing else needs to be done.

File the order and it disappears from your current orders. Don't hassle buyers
after they have paid and received their order.

Many of my customers don't even switch it over to received, let alone completed.
Why is this so important to you? Just move on. Do you really want to upset your
customer(s) and risk your reputation just because they don't do things the
way you want them to?

You mean he wants you to give feedback first? I don't see how that's
against BrickLink's terms. Feedback extortion is, but he's not holding
anything over your head by not setting the order to Complete. Just file it and
move on.

I find this post very odd for someone with such a high feedback score as yourself
and am wondering if you haven't told us something?

WOW... If you really Expect this out of BL buyers you are going to be EXTREMELY
disappointed. As someone who's been here since 2002 I can say in a ratio
You should consider being lucky if you can get 60% of your buyers to update the
status, As well as 75% of those to leave you feedback. If you can get that consider
yourself doing well. Just worry about doing the best job you can. If anything
the FB system is what needs attention not the status.

| I have been a buyer for years and only had one issue so I no longer deal with
that shop. In my defense, I knew better than to buy from them as the negative
reviews are in the hundreds.
I always leave feed back but, as a buyer I don't always receive feedback
from the sellers even when I leave a positive review. Because I buy a lot, I
mark things completed and then filed so I don't have to look at it when I
am checking order status. I don't know from a buyer's perspective whether
or not you can just file this order and be done with it or not.
Some of the sellers don't leave feedback but actually give me coupons for
the next purchase so I guess I was a good buyer. I would not worry about it
as long as they don't say anything negative.

The buyer does not have to 'close' the order. Nor should you request
it.

That's a huge assumption on your part. Wow.

No, the are no rules or terms regarding how we all handle the Order Status.

If a buyer pays for the order, why wouldn't you leave them feedback first?
To me they did their part in the transaction.
