| Hello,
I send (from switzerland) a order to a client of belgum & write in the place
for the IOSS number on CN22, the correctly IOSS number from BrickLink.
The BrickLinkVATReceiptEU12345.pdf is printed out and clearly visible on the
back of the package.
Now make the customs problems about the order, that the custom dosent found the
IOSS number & will take again the payed VAT from the client.
Are that not for every customs now after nearly 1 year clear how it functions?
The client send already again the IOSS number & the BrickLinkVATReceiptEU12345.pdf
to proof it, but again dosent accept the belgum border this.
Best regards Daniel and stay healthy.

Yeah, this has been happening a lot lately. Not sure if the problem is specific
to BrickLink or a wider problem with customs in general.

Its a wider problem, I`ve had it across all platforms I sell with.
writing the IOSS and amount of VAT paid does not seem to have any effect.
Its frustrating.

The IOSS has to be sent electronically, by you to your shipper/postal service,
by your shipper to Customs.
Customs won’t read the papers, they only read the electronic data.

I doo write the IOSS number in electronic way when I write the CN22.
That is the normal way in Switzerland & swiss post.
Best regards Daniel and stay healthy.

| Can't speak for any country other than the US, but here the IOSS number must
be entered electronically for postage printed online. This is why I switched
to Pirateship when PayPal replaced Pitney Boews with Shipstation. Only the subsciption,
non-PayPal version of Shipstation allows for the IOSS number to be entered electronically.
I also include the invoice/receipt in an envelope attached to the outside of
the package, but i don't think they look at this, they just scan the barcode.

Hi,
I had the same problem when I shipped a parcel to Finland. I asked the Swiss
Post if I made anything wrong but they told me that the IOSS were entered correctly.
I sent every information needed, so the buyer could declare himself the parcel.
The buyer and myself have lost a lot of time to get the issue resolved. The Swiss
and the Finnish post have always said the other were faulty…
Regards,
Jey
