| Hi,
I just wanted to ask the community if anyone owns a Lego Deadpool minifig.
I won an eBay bid on one last week and it arrived today.
The feet, torso, and neck all have Lego logo on it, but the head is hollow and
open at both ends.
Can someone please confirm that the official Lego version does have Lego written
on the top of it please?
Thanks in advance.

| I've got two, the heads are hollow with lego in it, sounds like the one you
have is blocked open.

| The blocked open version comes from the same set that Deadpool comes so looks
like his head might have been mixed up at some point.

| Thank you for the quick reply.
Do you happen to know if the blocked open type depreciates the value of the Deadpool
minifig and is it still classed as Lego or custom?

| It's genuine Lego but I'm not too sure how it would affect the value.
Technically if sold here on Bricklink it wouldn't be the correct part but
on eBay may be okay. As it is a fairly valuable fig I guess whoever was to buy
would want the correct parts.

The minifigure inventory states it has both head types so it would be correct
if listed on bricklink.

| Absolutely, That's why I bid for it.
I am disappointed that it wasn't detailed in the description when I bid on
it from eBay. I'm going to try and get a partial refund for it to help pay
for an official head.
Just so I get this right, if I wanted to source an official Lego Deadpool minifig
head there are 2 types, but is this the Lego version?
Minifigure, Head Male Mask Black with White Eye Holes Pattern (Deadpool) - Blocked
Open Stud
Item No: 3626bpb0703

Thank you so much!

| They are both official parts. Often what version of the head you received is
based off of what factory it was made in.

You have an official head, the minifigure can come with either the blocked open
stud version or the hollow stud version:
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?M=sh032
For better or for worse BL does not allow for "alternate" parts in minifigures,
but you can still sell the one you have on BL, just add a note as to the type
of head it has.

| It shouldn’t affect the value in any way. And it is still LEGO and dosnt need
to be listed as a custom item as the minifigures description states it’s been
found with both head types. In addition most people don’t mind what variant a
head is between hollow and blocked open stud as they are very often both used
for the same minifigure

My son got me into this and so I got him Deadpool as a present.
He doesn't know it yet and I just want to make sure it is Lego and I didn't
get sold a dud. =)

No worries! If you look at this part of a Minifigures description that you can
see in the photo it says if it's been found with multiple head variants.
In addition, there aren't any product listings on bricklink for fake lego
(this is different than if a seller sells fake products which will get them banned)
Also this applies to any Minifigure not just marvel.

| I didn't notice that description, it would be better moved to the main listing
under the fig like they normally list additional notes.

| I think they do it that way since notes are for more notable differences as compared
to hollow/blocked heads being on the same Minifigure which is very common

| Interesting. I didn't know that.
The only reason why I can think the hole with the vent is there is just incase
a child swallows it or sticks it up it's nose and it gets stuck and the hole
allows air flow? Dunno.🤔

| Does your Deadpool feel fake?
Despite having all the Lego markings, the plastic used for mine feels like a
cheap Chinese knockoff. I think it also has loose connections

Not really, Chinese knock offs tend to be true knock offs and don't put lego
symbols. However there are knock offs printed on genuine lego parts. There was
an influx of Deadpool parts a few years ago.

At one stage 1000s of Deadpool heads got listed here, and sold in bulk to sellers
worldwide who then sell them on.
There were also some where the eyes weren't quite tge right shape, these
are reasonably easy to spot especially if you can put them next to a genuine
one.

Do you have a link to the check the different markings on the Deadpool minifig.
I appreciate the reply btw. I'm doing all this research for my son who's
a huge lego marvel fan but is only 4.

| Wasn’t it a store that was selling entire fake deadpool minifigures. I’m pretty
sure all those bulk beads that sold and the thousands that are currently listed
are real. They are from European stores that always seam to have high quantity
or rare legit parts for good prices
