| The real "Colour quetion" is how to distinguish yourself from former colonies
like the United States? The easiest way is through spelling: Color vs Colour.
Look into Webster's motivations

Sure, it's the head-in-sand or "black and white" analogy you've invoked.
Sort of, I don't want to effort the discussion just now, so let's go
with black n' white to cover it?
We all do it, Stuart. No worries my dear friend

Just having some fun, Stuart
It's was actually the American lexicographer, Noah Webster that was motivated
to distinguish his America heritage from England, through differentiating spelling,
after the failed attempt for American to be a Latin speaking nation

| Now that would have been interesting, something like original Latin surviving
into this modern age, a little is still in use.
I suppose that part of it’s demise as an everyday language was the issue of control
of the general uneducated population, only the rich well educated could read
and write Latin, this didn’t last.
Many modern languages still have their roots there and it survives well in botany,
medicine and the sciences amongst others.
I did take up the option of learning Latin at grammar school but moved within
weeks and never revisited the subject.
Never was any good at learning languages including English.

The Latin I took in school was kind of fun, though not much Latin was taught
beyond the fundamentals. It seemed the teacher was interested in the fables and
stories that came out of classical antiquity, more than the language.

English is the tough one, for sure

| It looks more dark grey / pearl dark grey to me, especially as the old pearl
dark grey has a greeny tint to it.

Agreed. It is Pearl Dark Gray. The colors under 'Metallic Green' are
more of a metallic/drum lacquered version of Olive Green.

Well, there ARE Kraata in 200 Lemon Metallic, which BrickLink also files under
Metallic Green. Ideally we would have a separate "Pearl Sand Green" color.

I've only ever had two of those things and I couldn't tell the colours.
My solution each time was to sell them on ebay, where you can provide multiple
decent sized images and not have to collect a specific colour. That way, there
is no worry about returns and paying return postage due to an error if a customer
is not in agreement with the colour selected.
