| Is there a creative solution to salvaging these parts? Without damaging them?
Some 15 years ago, I made the mistake of locking in pieces for "max clutch" and
now I've repurposed it as a puzzle of increasing difficulty.
Step 3 is where I'm stuck (haha)
Step 1 - Use pliers to gently remove the 3L Axle, and Axle Connector
Step 2A - If possible, pry out one 3L pin with little effort, to free the other
Step 2B - If 2A fails, use a dremel to remove the bush section of the 3L Pin
Step 3 - Use FORCE to break the 32034s and liberate the 4 red axles
On the bright side, I only have to sacrifice 2-3 parts to save the rest. Still,
I'm quite reluctant to destroy Lego and greedy enough to ask for help. Help!

I wonder how you managed to get the 3L pins in the torso from the inside out?
The most obvious solution is to break only one part: the torso.
Or with appropriately thin pliers you might be able to wiggle the 2L axles out.
If not with pliers, you could drill a small hole in them and insert a thin screw
to pull them out.
But looking at the price of the parts, I'd go for sacrificing the $0.01-$0.05
torso.

I wiggled and jiggled with a grooved stick of metal and a rubber band, but couldn't
get enough purchase on the side. Didn't budge. If there aren't any more
suggestions, I'll have to drill out the red axles. Thanks for the advice,
hpoort.

*Just out of sentiment, I wouldn't pick the torso. Even though it's commonplace
and probably in every Bionicle fan's bin as part of the "red guy", the torso/gearbox
was discontinued in 2003 and not likely to return. The other parts are alive
and well. If I have to choose, I'd definitely pick to persecute the plentiful.
