Dear fellow members,

this week I have received wholesale offerings for sets in a b2b setting from
2 large sellers (1 47K fb) in Europe.

I am NOT pleased with these messages.

First, I am not in the b2b business. So they are wrongly adressed.
Second, as far as I am aware of, BL-user-data is not allowed to be used for these
kind of messages.
Third, what's with the 'for your benefit and profit' thinking?

Is anybody else getting these messages as well?
Or are they just phishing attempts?

Already made 2 complaints for these 2 members at the BL office (whatever will
happen next, dunno...)

I received the same a couple days ago. I just deleted it, but I must tell you,
I am surprised because I have been buying and no longer get messages from BL.
But then I get this?

So I get messages only when BL Admin makes an announcement, but NONE from when
wanted list items appear for sale, NONE when I make a purchase, NONE when my
items are shipped etc.

Same email and same settings since 2005 when I signed on permanently. So BL
changed something, not me.

Oh well....again, I get almost no messages from BL but I get unsolicited emails
from other(s) about pairing up for b2b? Weird...

LM

The mails are not getting to you through BL.

They are from scammers who try to impersonate good-standing BL stores.

They surely got your e-mail address from another BL seller (undoubtedly not with
their consent).

See this thread https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1335678 (only the first
message is in German).

Thanks for redirecting us to this!

Not linked to the German forum part, so I missed it.

It’s not the BL members, it’s scammers trying to impersonate them.

I got the same message, just figured it was phishing or some scam so I deleted
it.

Another batch have gone out today. I received one from a big Austrian seller
earlier, different text this time.
