Please make changes to the following inventory:

Set No: 2792 Name: Grandma's House
*
2792-1 (Inv) Grandma's House
45 Parts, 2 Minifigures, 1994
Sets: DUPLO: Playhouse

* Add 1 Part 31042 Medium Green Duplo Utensil Kettle with Closed Handles 2 x 2 x 1.5 (Alternate) (match ID 1)
* Change 1 Part Medium Green 4905 Duplo Utensil Saucepan {match ID 0 to 1}

Comments from Submitter:
I'm not too sure as to what to do about this part, but it certainly exists and appears in at least one inventory on Brickset. It appears to be homeless on Bricklink, but almost certainly belongs to this set. I have found a few listings online that contain this part but no saucepan, so maybe it should be categorized as an alternate? I'm not aware of sets this early containing alternates...

You are right. Brickset does have this kettle in the inventory of this set, instead
of the saucepan. It looks like the saucepan was only in sets released up to 1995
and discontinued after that. The kettle shows up on Bricklink in sets released
1998-2021. I found this set in catalogues of 1994-1996.

I also found:

Set No: 2788 Name: Katie's Kitchen
*
2788-1 (Inv) Katie's Kitchen
19 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 1994
Sets: DUPLO: Playhouse
with the medium green kettle on the internet.
Found in catalogues 1994-1995

The medium green kettle WAS also in the inventory of

Set No: 9168 Name: Large Duplo House
*
9168-1 (Inv) Large Duplo House
173 Parts, 7 Minifigures, 2 Gear, 1995
Sets: Educational & Dacta: DUPLO: Playhouse
but removed again and replaced by the saucepan

I am wondering now if the medium green kettles were in all sets (as alternate),
which had the medium green saucepan

Other opinions would be appreciated!

Some of these DUPLO 27XX sets have a few notable issues in regard to colors.
For instance: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=2781-1#T=I
contains a 4066pb044 in 'Medium Dark Pink', a color not used since the
mid-1990s. A few sellers have this brick in 'Dark Pink', https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=4066pb044&idColor=94#T=S&C=47&O={%22color%22:47,%22iconly%22:0}
but that part in that color doesn't appear to belong to any inventory yet.

BL Medium Dark Pink correlates to TLG 16 Pink, and BL Dark Pink correlates to
two colors on Bricklink, but the part in question here is 22 Medium Reddish Violet,
first introduced in 1994. Rebrickable has 4066pb044 appearing in both 'Duplo
Pink' (16 Pink on their site) and 'Medium Dark Pink' (22 MRV on their
site), with the latter appearing in set 2781.

DUPLO Playhouse sets from 1996 primarily contained pieces in Blue, Yellow, Medium
Green, White, and Old Dark Pink. The Medium Dark Pink brick on this site for
set 2781 is more than likely incorrect, as are the 'Light Green' teapot
and flowers, which do have a note here: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?S=2791-1

No element ID currently exists for these parts in 'Light Green'. This
color was used for DUPLO playhouse sets in 1992 and 1993 before being used as
baseplates in Paradisa sets the following year. It is highly unlikely that this
was used in 1997 Dacta sets and in a series of sets that did not use this color.

Just some other stuff I wanted to note.

Feel free to submit change requests for these and other parts you think are in
the inventory with the wrong color. I have a so called 'colorbox' that
might also help here.
Unfortunately I don't know much about the glow in the dark and copper versus
reddish gold. I'm working on the last one though.

Will do! Most of my change requests will revolve around obscure and retired colors
in sets that weren't widely distributed, so they will be harder to prove,
but even those sets deserve a chance at being as accurate as possible. Most of
these changes will be justified by what the community knows about colors and
when they were retired/introduced, which apart from photos, is a good way to
find and correct these errors.
