Hello. A number of months ago we found massive damage to our inventory.

We closed the store.

We are looking to do the following;

Remove ALL stockroom inventory without having to hit each item to do it.

Move all non stockroom inventory into the stockroom so we can recount all of
the inventory and move it into active for sale inventory as we move along.

I know this entire process is going to take some time but I cannot seem to get
past the download limitation for bricklink backup and restore to do it easily.

We did download brickstore to try and work through it but we are in the learning
curve process now to get that working.

Any help would be appreciated. We do not want to clean out all of the inventory
and start over (since we have over $30,000 in sorting and upload).

Thank you.

I do believe we can remove stock room items one at a time then use the inventory
update tool to move all non stockroom items to the stockroom.

Anyone else ever attempted this move?

Am I gone looney, or have you been having a conversation with yourself?

Ahh great!

Any help would be appreciated. We do not want to clean out all of the inventory
and start over (since we have over $30,000 in sorting and upload).

I would close the shop.
Cancel orders/items that need to be cancelled, so it's all clean.

Download the shop Inventory on BrickStore.

You will have to ADD to the Shop Inventory all the pending orders items.

When done, simply count everything and edit the Shop Inventory, and when you've
done say 100 or 200 lots (max!) do a mass UPDATE (NOT a mass upload!!!)

Mark the lots done, like using the "X" icon.

Until all are done.

Please practice on a single lot which isn't important. You've to save,
save as, have tracks so you could revert.

It's NOT complicated, you just have to know what you're doing.

Also, within Brickstore, you can highlight multiple or all lots and under the
EDIT menu is Stockroom Item, with a sub-menu options to set to None, A, B or
C. This will change all of them at once.

When using this technique to move the lots out of the stockroom, they will remain
higlighted and then you can easily use the Mass Update option on the FILE menu,
which only updates the highlighted lots.
