| This is my most recent MOC and by far one of the most challenging to build. Its
very large at more then 20 inches wide. Which places it close to the actual size
of a real 808. This build tested my SNOT building skills quite a bit. The main
challenge was to do as much brick built line work as possible. The next update
to the build will make it so all the buttons can be pushed and some smaller detail
improvements. I have submitted my MOC to the LEGO Ideas site and would love your
support.

Man you got this MOC spot on. When comparing pictures of the real 808 it is obvious
you spent a lot of time designing and building this. The attention to detail
is very impressive - Well Done!
Unfortunately, I don't think there is a large enough audience that would
be willing to pay the price that Lego would need to charge to make a set that
is as detailed and as large as yours. The total pieces needed looks to be at
least 1500 pieces + some.

Thank you for the kind words. It has been a challenging build. I haven’t really
used any rare parts or building techniques that are not a strong build. So
I don’t think it would be to expensive for LEGO to build it if it’s picked. As
long as I keep it around $200-250, I think it would be very reasonable for how
large this MOC is. I am shooting for making the finished MOC 1808 pieces. It
makes for a nice Easter egg like the Saturn V. I will have a better idea of how
close I am once I finish the CAD version of it.
I think the audience is there. It’s only been 9 days and I am already creeping
close to 300 supporters after 9 days. Again thanks for checking it out.

Hi Dave!
The 808 is a legend, and this one smartly and nicely represents it.
Thank you for your dedication, time, energy and creativity rendering it in LEGO
parts!
If it doesn't succeed, please don't give up.
Wishing you the best!!!
Sylvain

That would be great if Lego does decide to make it, it is so close to the real
thing and looks awesome.

That is awesome. I own an original 808 and wish I had more time to mess around
with it. Sorting & listing take up too much of my spare time these days.

YOU HAVE ONE!? Um would you mind taking some pictures for me. I have done this
whole build with just images online but the sides have been hard to find good
pictures of. It’s got some really unfriendly LEGO geometry. I also could use
a few pictures next to a ruler to just get a feel for how close in size to an
actual 808 I have gotten.
