I have had an invoice for February sales which says

"Although your balance is below the threshold, you are being billed this month
for tax settlement purposes."

I'm not sure what this means - what tax? I did reply to the email but have
had no response and I can't see where else to ask except here. can anyone
throw any light? I'm a UK resident and tax payer if that helps.

BrickLink is required to collect VAT on seller fees accrued each month and remit
it to the relevant tax authority. The VAT amount charged is based on the month’s
order fees in your bill breakdown. Learn more

Bricklink tax, I believe. The company has to do year-end accounts and whatnot,
so if they get all due balances and everything, they will have an easier time
of it.
If you didn't guess, the balance owed was simply for a sale(s) you made however
long ago. But since the amount of the fees accrued did not reach the billing
threshold (the US it's $5.00 I think), they did not actually bill you and
you did not pay. Now they want it paid up, so they can have a clean slate for
their accounting.

Bricklink's corporation tax not yours I would assume, it's the last month
of the tax year so they are finalising their income.
