I imagine sellers in the affected area have a lot more to worry about than fulfilling

True, and their buyers should be considerate of this.
I have been hesitant to buy anything from Ukraine for the last few weeks. There
are some really awesome kid's play structures and doll houses for sale on
Etsy shipping out of Ukraine.

I was the seller, the buyer asked to cancel because he lives over there.
I wished him good luck and hope to see him back soon.

It is probably best for you they did cancel. Much easier to cancel and move on
than send items to a war zone where people are getting displaced every day. I
doubt postage deliveries are high on the list of priorities.
