| Hi, this is a curiosity question only. Wondering if LEGO is delaying the selling
of parts from the BMW motorcycle set, perhaps because it is an exclusive high-profile
brand? Does LEGO have oversight of BL inventories now? Do they sign off on some
new parts and not others?
I was able to purchase the 1000rr unique parts through B&P back on January 11,
yet BL still doesn't list these parts almost two months after release (for
example: 71711, the large disc brake rotor). I know Lego has exclusive sales
rights through March or April, after which other retailers will have access to
the set. Is the delayed inventory related to this second release date? Curious
because full sets are available on BL now. Will the upcoming McLaren F1 technic
set inventory be delayed also?
Or it this simply not enough volunteers to move the work along through the BL
process?

No.

No. The only reason why the parts are not yet in the catalog is because nobody
has submitted them yet. Or more precise: Nobody has submitted images for them
- the parts themselves were submitted last week by the member who started the
inventory for the set.
(And yes I already sent them a message that we need images for the new parts.
 )

I was mostly curious about the LEGO relationship since the acquisition. I walked
away from Legos several years ago, and when I came back BL was owned by TLG.
I read their AMA responses, but it is nice to hear from you that BL is still
operating independently.
Thank you for the thankless work you do! I understand it must be frustrating.
Hopefully TLG programmer support will eventually enable you to make BL more efficient
and make it easier for volunteers to help you.
