Hello everyone,

Want to tell a story with some bitter taste

On 30th November a buyer from Germany made an order which was invoiced and paid
quickly. I posted the package on 2nd December and it left Bulgaria on 4th December.
Then the package seemed to disappear, no movement.

The buyer wrote to me on December 15 about the lack of movement. I replied on
the same day that there is nothing i could do if not a month had passed since
the posting date and i promised to open a case for an investigation on first
available day.

So the case was opened for investigation on 29th December and I messaged to buyer.
He says its OK. He contact me again on 12th with desire to cancel the order.
Meanwhile the package appeared on 13th January at Frankfurt Airport. I messaged
to him for a little more time.He did not answer me this time.

An unsuccessful attempt for delivery was made to the 14th January, the buyer
was absent. Notification was left. He opened a PP case on 18th January, ofcourse
PayPal stick with him and i lost the case. Meanwhile the buyer collect the package
on 19th January but he didnt cancel the case. I was also fined for the case too
by PayPal.

The case was closed on 4th February and i have proof from Bulgarian Post for
successful delivery, but too late

So, I'm going to go through that somehow but i cant accept such a behavior.
I am glad that these buyers are a minority here in this nice community. In the
end the Lego should bring positive emotions

Hope my English is not so bad, cause is not my first language

Best wishes to everyone and happy building!

Borislav

Yep - this behaviour was recently mentionned here:

Some buyers are kind and they'll pay again, apparently some are less.
And the Claim remains as a mark in your PayPal account

Anyway - not much you can do, apart maybe counting 100€ "lost" every year while
selling - or such provisional amount, and include it in your prices.

Wishing you the best.

Had a similar issue. Buyer was impatient. This was the first summer of covid.
There were expected shipping delays. I'm confident the buyer got his minifigs
eventually, albeit 2-4 weeks later than expected but never bothered to pay me.
Some buyers think they are stealing from a large company but they don't
stop to think that they're actually stealing from an actual person. I think
if more did, they wouldn't be so cavalier about it.

I once had a guy claim a figure was lost in the post, so I refunded. A few weeks
later I noticed he was a seller also and had a poke around in his store. He
had the figure listed for sale. Could have been a coincidence, but I doubt it.

I've got somewhat similar but a weird transaction to Germany. Buyer ordered
on 09/2021, since the items needed manual invoice I generated the invoice. I
had to notify customer for the payment because somewhat he was not aware. With
an apology he paid.

I shipped the order, normally I don't pervasively track international orders
but after a few weeks I tracked this order. It was stuck at customs on October
2 2021. Nevertheless I kept tracking the order until December in which time I
messaged buyer if there is any issue with customs.

Package is still in the same status in tracking, no word from buyer, no paypal
case or anything... (And buyer don't have any other feedbacks given after
one that I gave, possibly no transaction on Bricklink)

Order will be purged from Bricklink in a month.
