I'm looking for some insight on the misprint minifig world. So, I've
had this trooper for years. I got him in a set when I was a kid and I've
always held onto him since he's so odd.

I've been selling off my sets and minifigs for a while and am experienced
determining normal set/minifigs values, but misprints are a weird world that
I'm just not experienced with. I read that one of the value-determining factors
is how "obvious" the misprint is. Well....as you can see it's pretty obvious.

The back decal is printed under the front, the back is blank.

Some misprints to go for quite a lot. So I'm curious what the community thinks
he could be worth.

I appreciate any feedback! thank you.

It is worth whatever price you agree with a buyer. Some people will tell you
$10-20 and be willing to pay it. Some will tell you it is worth $500 but will
not be interested in buying it.

To me this is a true misprint, not like a lot of those that have a bit of odd
print missing or is too faint to see. It also comes from a figure that only
came in 2 of the more expensive early SW sets that are getting really hard to
find complete. I'd bet you could fetch 5-10 times the going rate for this
guy ($100-$200)

This kind of question can only be answered by a buyer, I think. Collectors will
pay a lot for things that intrigue them. Someone who wants it will have trouble
finding another one. But for the same reason, no one has been looking for one.

This is a true misprint, my sort of rule of thumb is to take the normal minifig/part
and put a zero behind it.
After that it comes down to how wanted a minifig/part is.

Good luck,
Maxx

Your best bet would be to auction it on ebay. There are a lot of Lego misprint
collectors who will have the keywords 'Star Wars misprint' automatically
flag an email to them as soon as your item appears on the site I know this becuase
within seconds of uploading my misprint chewbacca headgear I had lots of people
messaging me with offers. I told them it was up for auction and to bid. I started
it at 99p and it sold for £100
The misprint was basically where the ammo belt was printed on both sides making
it look like the SOLO movie version except it was done on a Regaular Chewbacca

I expect I could have got more than double with a set price but personally for
somthing where there is no way to estimate its market value I prefer to let the
bidding do the talking and am happy with whatever people are willing to pay for
it at the time of listing

Thank you very much everyone! Really appreciate all of the info. I'm going
to put him on eBay and let an auction decide. Hopefully a good collector finds
him.
