So many problems sending to the EU im afraid I have to stop until this is resolved.

Due to previous issues with customers being charged again I made 100% sure to
take photos of all my packaging and re-double checked the instructions.

Used Click and Drop - via the royal mail

All the information to print a label is required in the step by step process
digitately.

When creating the shipment you have to enter the IOSS, the marketplace details
and order numbers. to create a label. So this isnt the problem.

still the customer have been requested to pay tax again. Just impossible.

Ive tried 2 or 3 different ways and they get charged every time

Maybe it was too much effort to turn the parcel over ...?

It is a shame it has come to this, but I agree the best thing to do is not sell
to the EU countries that cannot handle it properly yet. Whether it is the Customs
fault or Royal Mail's fault, it always comes back on the seller.

I have spent the last hour speaking to a few couriers, it appears like all UK
sellers are required to register also for an EORI number too with Gov.uk

any UK seller know about this?, even as a sole trader or private individual selling
goods to the EU I think it is also required for everybody regardless.

Yes plus you also have to apply for an EORI number if you want to import goods
from the EU too

Yes this Brexit is really going well!! Sales to the EU have fallen off a cliff.
I use a RM business ac & DHL. I make sure I put all the information required
by customs, (Probably just got lucky) so far, no complaints but just a few issues.
Slovakian customs returned a large letter and Italian customs sat on a parcel
for 6 weeks. It takes longer for post to get to a lot of EU locations. I do have
an EORI no. thanks to DHL telling me to get one. Unless the UK gets around the
table and stops banging it's chest, I cannot see a perfect outcome. Buying
from abroad is now very expensive so my purchases have slowed right down. It
is sad, but what can you do?

Maybe I'm missing something since I haven't had the "pleasure" of sending
one of these yet but isn't the IOSS and/or EORI numbers supposed to be visible
on the parcel?

IOSS number is supposed to be sent electronically - not on the parcel.

And linked electronically to the barcode on the parcel I presume... So in this
case there is a communications breakdown between Royal Mail and French post/customs.

It would be interesting to see which routes, as in country/carrier combinations,
have their IT systems in order already and parcels go through without issues.

Placed 4 orders with shops in The Netherlands just a few days ago, three arrived
promptly without issue, expecting the fourth in the next day or two.

For orders to the UK we have no IOSS number, just the PDF invoice, but I put
the BL VAT ID that appears in it as "Referencia Aduanera del Expedidor" just
as suggested by my postal system, but this only works for tracked letters and
parcels, for untracked mail it just goes the invoice on the outside as as far
as now no one told us they got charged extra, we even have repeat UK customers
in the lasts months.

So the problem is with the electronic communication between countries, as seems
some postal carriers were not ready to this system.

I have no problem sending to the UK. I attach the IOSS VAT invoice on the outside
of the package like recommended by bricklink. They go straight through.

From the UK to Denmark however, I have just had an order the Danish customs wanted
VAT paid again.

The IOSS number has to be on the CN22 or CN23.

I have therefore phoned again today with the information from customs and the
service of DHL.
On the one hand, the electronic transmission is important, on the other hand,
the IOSS number must be on the declaration CN22 or CN23 and also on the invoice.
How else can customs or the shipping company determine which package it is and
whether the calculated tax is correct?
What I have not figured out is who tells "my" shipping company the data? I have
not found a corresponding form. Also, my name does not match the IOSS number.
Therefore, I assume that this is a matter for BL. But BL is more than covering
itself.

No it doesn't. There's no field on that form to write that nr and it
shouldn't be.
As other people have already mentioned: the nr should be entered into the electronical
declaration, not written anywhere on the parcel.

Would not mater anyway as your postal / courrier service does not check the physical
package for evidence of an IOSS nr. If not properly entered electronically the
buyer WILL end up paying VAT twice (speaking from experience unfortuantely).

By now it's very clear to me that USPS is lacking considering the entering
of the IOSS nr (100% issues when Americans send me something via USPS; no issues
whatsoever when sent via DHL or other courrier).
On European side, many national postal services indeed still don't have a
properly working system in place to handle the H7 declarations (again, speaking
from experience; Belgian Post is so amateuristic in handling international mail
it looks like Kafka is their CEO).

I very rarely ship to Europe using RM C+D, but I've never had a problem (yet!).
I notice that your customs declaration has "Mixed goods" ticked rather than "Sale
of goods" - that could be a possible problem (but shouldn't be).

Also, do you include valid customs codes like 950300 for Lego parts? Again, shouldn't
be a problem, but thinking of all possible options!

Jonathan

Valid custom codes for goods are obsolete in H7 declarations as no import
duties are due (ALL H7 declarations have a value of below the treshold of €150
for import duties).

Checking the OP it does not seem to me he did anything wrong. Most likely the
automated system of the mail carrier in the recipient's country failed the
IOSS check, which happens thousands of times a day all over the EU.
