I was wondering if anyone had any insight into how some sellers have these massive
listings (sometimes 200, 500, even over 1000) of sealed LEGO kits to sell. Not
trying to point figures, but this comes off as inherently sketchy to me - there
have been some pretty well-documented instances of LEGO theft recently, and having
several hundred kits listed on a store raises a red flag for me as a buyer. If
there's a perfectly logical reason for this that I'm missing then I stand
corrected. I'd love to hear people's thoughts on this regardless.

There are stores on here that get product through distributors.

Though we don't have those numbers we do carry large quantities ourselves
as we have a retail store front and get regular distribution through Lego.

And some people are just well off!!! I love LEGO but love my little fleet of
BMWs more. I do know of someone from England that sells here that was going
to purchase a castle a few years back but decided to invest in LEGO. Now that’s
a lot of LEGO my friend.

What BMWs do you have?
Does this happen to you? Someone asks “You have a BMW, are you rich?” My reply
is “No. I am poor because I have a BMW.”

Someone not averse to debt, sounds like

That's the investment question isn't it? Castle or Lego, real estate
or goods? I suppose there's always room for compromise if you go with goods:

Though, when it comes to buying some Detroit steel, I'd fall more into this
