I bought bunch of Lego bricks from Germany, among other things, there were all
the parts for this set (686-1). When I sorted everything, I only got 3x 3183a,
all from the same mold. Not a single part 3183b.

Hello.
I have never seen on these parts Pat.pend. These parts usually have a letter
and numbers or just numbers. Now i have checked all the extra parts that have
accumulated over the years and i have found the following. I have a 17 x 3183a
in red, yellow, blue and white. All contain the letter D or E + number.I also
have a 7 x 3183b (red, yellow, blue) and have the letter B or C plus the number.
Set 652-2 also has the 3183a as an alternative.

Hi Marko,
Thank you for your info. I am trying to figure out when the A and B versions
were actually used and this might help. I can't find my own reserve parts
at the moment, nor these small Legoland boxes, they are all hidden in some boxes
somewhere.
