Wow, I'd like to know too.
I parted a set out and kept that minifig and priced it at $10 which was the market
price a couple months ago and now there has been a run on them.

sale have dark gray helmets

I had in mind to make a purple spaceman, alright, but I think I'll just build
it with hair. I don't like the classic spacemen with motorcycle helmets
unless they are Futuron.

I used to think similarly until I was finally able to make a light (bluish) gray
spaceman without spending a lot of $$$$ on a classic helmet in light gray.
Besides, there is a classic spaceman with a motorcycle helmet - green.

after reading this thread, I went to the parts bin and pulled 2 helmets and listed
them for $19 each, they sold 45 minutes later. Funny how I was buying these
for .50 as recently as September to complete CAS262 which sold for or $7. I'd
bet they are less than a dollar by years end.

There is a new purple classic space torso in the recent CMF and Classic Space
minifigure collectors want the purple helmet.
