Fairly new here and trying to work out shipping as having issues when people
are ordering. I have 3 selected shipping methods which I've got from the
shared shipping methods:

RoyalMail - Standard 2nd Class Small Parcel
RoyalMail - Standard 2nd Class Medium Parcel
RoyalMail - Standard 2nd Class Large Letter

I don't know exactly what someone sees when they try to order from me but
I've had someone saying the Large Letter wasn't showing for an instructions
booklet. In the end I removed all other options and deleted all dimension restrictions
and it worked. Not an ideal solution every time though.

Is the problem the dimension restrictions on the shared shipping OR the uploaded
dimensions of items/sets/instructions etc? I'm probably going to remove the
dimension restrictions but this seems to defeat the point of having them. Could
this then create issues where if someone is ordering a large set, for example,
I don't think Large Letter will suffice but it looks like they'll be
able to select this option?

Anyone with more experience of setting shipping options got any advice?

Thank you!

Yes, it looks like it does - I just experimented in your store and it puts everything
into a large letter so long as it's under the weight limit, and only moves
to small parcel once that's exceeded.

Is the instructions issue down to dimensions not being set for the items themselves?
You can manually override those in your inventory if they're not pulled from
the catalogue automatically.

Ah ok. Thank you for trying that out! How do I manually override these in my
inventory? I can’t see any way to do this? I’d assume that usually the dimensions
etc are correct but I’m sure there’ll be times when it doesn’t quite match up
or hasn’t been inputted on the catalogue?

On each item you wish to have set to Manual invoice only, you go to the item
and where you select the price & quantity, at the bottom, there is an option
"Pkg type". You can select Manual there. Then make sure to click "submit changes"
so it takes effect. You will need to do this for each item you do not want to
be available for instant checkout. I do this with all my instruction booklets
.

Hmm, thanks for the help on this - I've gone to my inventory and selected
the item but I see no 'Pkg type' option. I've tried to amend the
Shipping options to be Manual but no option showing still. Still not sure what
I'm missing.

As others have said, go in to My Store - Settings - Management and tick the checkbox
for 'Enable my weight and my packing dimensions on each item for sale'
(towards the bottom of the page in the 'Store/Inventory Options' section).

Also, on your 'My Inventory' page, use the 'Instant Checkout Unavailable'
(see pic) option to search your inventory for any items that cannot go through
Instant Checkout.
