Seller Does Not Ship to My Country Store: Allerhand und Gwand
Hello to the comunity!

I wondered, why I didn't get anymore foreign orders the last 2-3 months.
Now a customer reported, that there is a message "Seller does not support orders
shippting to...". I was suprised about this. Meantime, I detected, that I will
have to offer a onsite payment method to allow such smaller order.
But I don't want to get the possibility to "instant check-out" because I
want to check the stock before generating an invoice. Also the shipping cost
is to be fixed after packing.

My question: Will "onsite payment" (Paypal) automatically allow "instant check-out"?

Best regards,
Marc

No. You can have PayPal Onsite as payment method without instant checkout.
You need to accept PayPal Onsite as payment method so Bricklink can collect tax.

Not at all. Just add onsite payment method.
Do a test with mystore if you wish.
I have Paypal onsite method but no instant check-out.

Thank you very much for your quick response and help. Great!
I will try this.

Will the taxes be collected from me or from the customer? (if from me, I would
have to add this taxes to the invoice - otherwise, my benefit would be smaller,
isn't it?)

Taxes are added to the amount the buyer pays, although you also pay a little
more too as you pay PayPal fees on the tax amount.

Thank you for your support. So I will have to have some experience with that
so I can probably adapt my fees.

For example if you sell $1000, the tax (for buyers in USA or Europe,...) may
be about $100. It will be collected by BL.
Assume the PayPal fees is %5 over the total of what buyers pay. (for me it is
%3.9 for international orders, and $2.9 for Canadians)
I don't know if you charge (and if you are allowed in Switzerlands to collect
PayPal fees) but in any case, the portion of PayPal fees for the value of item
is 1000*0.05=$50 and the portion of taxes are 100 * 0.05= $5.
So out of $1000 orders, your extra charges are $5. This is %0.5

For buyers in Europe, the taxes (VAT) are %20 and you will be charged %1 extra
PayPal fees over total, in comparison to before BL began to charge taxes.
For buyers in the USA, the sale taxes are between %8 and %12 depending on the
state of buyer. So PayPal fees are % 0.4 to % 0.6 .

In Canada, we are not allowed to charge PayPal fees but I keep prices,... as
before and eat extra PayPal fees.

Wow - this went quite complicated. Thank you for your great explanation. Good
to have such experienced sellers.

The first years on BL, I collected 6,9% Paypal fees of the total amount. This
was appropriate (sometimes too less, sometimes too much - but in average just
okay). Because I as seller have to pay PP fees on the tax the costumer has to
pay, the fee will raise. I will keep an eye on that and raise the % if necessary.
