Hello all, I recently received two rare LEGO items but want to know how I should
go about selling them/listing them on Bricklink. They are:

A wooden LEGO Tractor (but I can’t find one like it with the attached yellow
bucket)

And a LEGO Bionicle: The Mask Of Light storyboard signed by Dan Kubat :

Thanks for your help, if anyone is interested in buying these without me having
to list them, let me know and we can work out a price and I can just make a custom
item listing. International shipping is available.

Have a great weekend and a good holiday!

Hello
Nice finds,

The tractor looks like it may have the trailer from the another toy, maybe the
chick with trailer or the wooden truck.
Price wise, maybe place on as a custom item and price high to see if there is
any interest.

The story board is not that rare, its till a nice item but probably only worth
about £10.

To be honest the tractor you have doesn't look like a LEGO item. I asked
a Danish friend who's much more knowledgeable on the topic and he suggested
it might be BRIO.

That’s odd, I got it from a reputable seller one that big website. He was from
Denmark with over 3,000 positive feedback, and he was selling lots of other Vintage
LEGO items.

Was it advertised as Lego? I'd consider returning it.

Yes, I don't want to say who it was (I don't think Bricklink would let
me), but if you search "Vintage Wooden Lego" on that one (big) selling site,
they will pull up from Denmark. They are selling lots of other ones though, and
I just won a lot of the original style bricks (without the tube things in the
bottom to keep pieces together.) They have almost all positive feedback, so I
think it is real, too many people would know they were fake and leave negative
feedback.

It's very possible that their other listings are real, but that this one
isn't (and that the seller did not know this). It just doesn't look like
the wooden Lego tractor in the BL catalogue.

How many of this tractor have they sold though? It is easy to build up huge feedback
selling genuine LEGO and not get any remarks about it being fake. If 1 in every
100 items they sold were not real LEGO, and 100% of their not real-LEGO items
got called out, they'd still have 99% feedback.

There are parts that look similar to other LEGO, such as the wheel pins and the
smaller wheels look a bit like those of the wooden train. But there are other
bits that don't look right at all. Maybe it is genuine, maybe it is a frankenstein
toy made from parts from multiple manufacturers, or maybe not genuine.

If you bought it for resale, you probably ought to grab the order with images
now, so you can use them when you come to sell it on, so at least the new buyer
can contact the old seller for some provenance.

Closest image I can find is below.

This is Hanse, linked with the Lego offshoot into Bilofix.

All related to Lego but not strictly Lego as we see it.

Yes, this site even has a picture of a (Hanse) tractor with a yellow bucket attached:

I definitely wouldn't have found it without your figuring out the brand.

For anyone interested in the link between Lego, Bilofix, Hanse.

Hanse is not related to LEGO either actually. It was a Danish toy company
that used to be based outside of Århus (DK). The story about Bilofix is that
Hanse founder, Holger Hansen asked Godtfred Kirk Christiansen if he could take
over the Bilofix line, since Gottfried at the time was also running a successful
toy store chain (GK Leg). That is how Hanse ended up in ownership of the leftover
LEGO tools from the wooden toy era and started selling toys under the Hansetec
name. Meanwhile the Bilo and the Biloflix trade names are still under LEGO A/S
ownership. As you may know LEGO is pretty protective of their IP.

It is also worth noting that from time to time you will find LEGO tires on
Hanse toys, which sometimes throws people off. I know of at least two examples
where LEGO sold tires to other Jutland based toy companies, so be mindful of
that. Hope that helps!

Thanks for that, always interested in learning more about Lego in the early years
and other companies producing similar products of the same era.
