| Hello,
I'm just building my 7-wide 5-seater for minifigures and I have a problem
at the back of the car. I want to connect the c-pillar to the base of the car,
but when I do, I always end up having a gap of half a plate, which naturally
occurs. Unfortunately I can't just use the Headlight-Brick, because it has
a stud on top, which causes a conflict with the slope. I've tried a lot of
things, but I've always failed to find a solution without a gap.
On the right you see what's given, and on the left you see my best attempt
with the gap (I've removed the tiles on top and on the side, so you can see
the construction).
Do you know a solution? And can I upload the io-file here?

The Studio forum is at https://forum.bricklink.com
You can upload the .io file as attachment there.
When encountering a gap of a half you can switch between headlight, brick with
stud on side and bracket. They offer a 1/2 plate different thickness each. Not
sure what you are trying to do exactly, but these should give you an idea:
and similar.
With the bracket you can also choose whether to align the side stud with the
bottom or with the top of bricks, again a 1/2 plate difference.

| Thanks. I've created a thread in the forum:
https://forum.bricklink.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7215&sid=7b98f08bb10008851e8a7114ae695f03
What Sylvain created is not working unfortunately. The C-Pillar needs to end
above the plate, like it is shown in the picture. And it also needs to come out
a bit. It's best to see in the io-file, that I've uploaded in the forum.
The other thing is that there is no space for that "big" 2 x 2 plate. On the
side there's the backdoor of the car, and behind there's the seat.

Are you using actual bricks?
If you are, you might want to try a Tyco brand plate. The Tyco brand plates are
1/2 brick thick while LEGO plates are 1/3, this allows one to get increments
that differ by 1/6.
