| We have noticed that some parts which were bought by a customer, have not been
subtracted from inventory.
F.x. A customer buys 1pcs 3069 left 4 in inventory
Next customer buys 1 pcs of 3069 left 4 in inventory.
I can see this error when coincidently two customers buy the same part short
time apart.
I cannot notice how often this happens but the last 3 weeks we have seen 7 incidents
in our shop.
Anyone has this problem too?

| Hello,
Do you mean that you can see this in the amount you have really left over?
Or the amount the website (order) says there are leftover?
Because if you sell the same part in a new order, the ''amount left''
column also updates in previous orders.

Yes, this. When you look at the qty remaining on a given order, it's the
quantity left in inventory including any other orders that have been made up
to that point, not the quantity left in inventory after that order but not including
subsequent ones.

Yeah, if you have more than one open order don't fall into the trap of seeing
that you should have 0 of an item left, finding you still have a couple left
when you pick that part, and then through those in as freebies. As chances are
you need those parts for the next order and you realise you have just packed
them as freebies.

| But when I have left 4 pcs in inventory in batch 1 and then in batch 2 the customer
buys another one and there are still 4 left - not 3, then there must be something
wrong ...

If customer has the same item in 2 batches on one order, both batches will show
the same amount left in your inventory. The number shown is what is left in your
inventory after every order has been picked.
Say customer places batch 1 for item X. You have 6, order batch is for 2, so
"left" shows 4. Customer then places batch #2 for another one. Now, if you look
at the order, _both_ batches show 3 left. Someone else places an order for 2.
Now all orders show 1 left.
Niek.

When did you look? Before or after batch 2 was placed?
If you are looking after both batches have been ordered, they should say the
same thing. The number that were left after batch 1 was placed (but before batch
2) should go down if the same item was ordered in batch 2.

The column shows the inventory left at the time of looking, indeed not
at the time the batch was ordered.
Perhaps you can automate your sales process and make a digital print or snapshot
automatically at the moment each batch arrives. I mean something similar
to the order confirmation mail that is sent to the buyer. Then you will have
a snapshot of the exact prices, inventory leftovers and item names of the moment
the contract was fixed. If you then fulfill each batch chronologically, you will
see the exact leftovers in your inventory.

Did the orders arrive with Instant Checkout, or were they paid via something
that took longer.
