I think the USPS lost a shipment, the tracking number indicates delivered a week
ago and so far my inquiries to the post office have yielded nothing. What are
my options here?

Your local post office should be able to look up the delivery scan to confirm
it was left at your address. Sometimes it ends up at a neighbor's or at the
same number house address one street over. Or, are there perhaps a lot of porch
pirates in your neighborhood?

If not, your only recourse is to have your seller file a claim if the package
was sent Insured or Priority mail.

Jen

PS. I actually caught a porch pirate in the act a few weeks back! Saw them running
across the street with the box and they dropped it when they saw me take out
my phone and start filming.

Thanks, I submitted a ticket to the post office a few days after it was supposed
to have been delivered. All they said in response was that tracking shows delivered.
I'm going to wait another day or two and reach out to the seller to see if
they will file a claim as well.

Have your seller take the shipping receipt to USPS in person. As a seller I
had a package go missing, tracking showed delivered, buyer said they never received.

I took the receipt in person, to my local USPS and they were able to tell me
exactly where it was delivered, together with an address and photo of the place
it was delivered.

I don't know about USPS but here Amazon and other companies will actually
take photos of the package on the doorstep at delivery scan to keep buyers honest.

Ah, right.  I forgot that US custom to let packages on the doorstep so that doorstep
thieves can make a living

USPS definitely does not. But they know where it was delivered because the location
is recorded when the package is scanned.

This. Some USPS carriers have hand scanners that record the GPS where the package
was delivered. That may give them a clue if it was dropped off at the wrong address.
Ask you post office to research this.
