| Ok. So a buyer demanded a full refund of a torso because they said a head was
loose on the neck. Plus they did not ask questions before making an order. Buyers
need to do this more especially as a serious collector.
|
I suggest you give a refund. Parts shouldnt be broken Even if they are used.
Information about loose neck can be added to description

In general, I agree, as long as the seller knows about the issue. In this case
it could be head that's the problem - is it the buyer's head? Did he
or she test it on other torsos? I would gently ask those questions, then refund
if the torso is clearly at issue.

I did not know the neck was a problem on the torso. I don't check every single
one. The buyer said they tried about 30 heads. How is it basically junk if the
head is loose? Some people would be glad just to have it. Just saying.

The buyer likely wouldn't bought it if he or she had known that it was damaged/unusable,
and I think it is the seller's responsibility to know whether the parts they
sell are in good shape. That doesn't mean checking every one, but it does
mean accepting the risk that a given part might not be good in ways that aren't
obvious to the eye, and taking responsibility when it isn't.
If it's a valuable piece then ask the buyer to return it, and send him or
her a shipping label for that purpose.

Would you answer the questions if a serious collector buyer asked you about the
conditions of 500 different used parts before placing an order?

No one is perfect. Just trying to tell people to ask questions. Sorry.

| I have to agree that it's on the seller to accurately describe any defects
rather than the buyer ask about everything they're purchasing.
General disclaimers about scratching or playwear cover a lot for used items,
but they don't cover cracked torsos or necks that won't hold a head.
In my opinion, these should be clearly noted.

Would you answer them though, if you got 100s of questions.
If it was a cheap torso then I'd refund and tell the buyer to keep it, and
that they could always wrap some sticky tape around the neck to hold the head
in place.
