| While checking the contents of a Mindstorms RIS 1.0 today, I noticed that a couple
of the wires have not survived like the regular LEGO parts have. I have all the
necessary tools to effect a repair, but I need to know how to release the wire/contacts
from the electric blocks on the end. Has anyone done this, and can tell me how
?
thanks, Nita Rae

I've done it ! It's fairly easy, just use an X-ato or a sharp knife and
separate in the sidings. Sorry, cannot find original post that showed pictures
of the process.
I'm horrible at bricolage (DIY) so if I were able to do it, almost everyone
else will

| Hi, a bit late i know, but i have just replaced the wire in one, i found it on
"youtube", but where they used a small screwdriver, i used a small pen knife
lifting the side out then pry it out. next unlike "youtube", they put the wire
in the bottom part, some even used solder, like "youtube" i did one using the
bottom of the unit it took some time then "idea", put the wire in the top of
the brick and push down hard till it clicks i think this is how lego did it in
the first place. job done.
