| Hi there,
Browsing through the Brickheadz category I came across this nice set,
https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=DCBHZ-1&name=Wonder%20Woman%20(Lego%20Brand%20Store%20Build%20Event)&category=%5BBrickHeadz%5D%5BPromotional%5D#T=P
Set ID is DCBHZ-1 in case the link doesn't work,
I thought I would pull the parts out and give as a gift this to my son.. no problem
with the gift part except the fact that not being able to buy from one's
own store and a need to manually adjust the inventory...
The question is : Could I list one for sale too? Wonder woman sure is a licensed
character and there will be no official box or instructions to be given to the
customer. Sure a customer can come along part out that set and buy from the wanted
list but I think it's a good service to reserve the parts beforehand and
make it avaliable to buy from just one store.
The next question : How would you do the pricing? Would you add a service charge
on top of the parts value (which would be free if customer did the part out part)
or would you decrease the final price since you would be selling some parts that
otherwise may not sell as well?
Thanks beforehand, Best regards,
Nejat

| You could create a superlot containing all the parts so you can sell them as
1 item.

Combining them into a superlot will just provide obscurity I think. There is
already a catalog entry and 1 sold set. With superlot it's hard to make it
noticeable too..

It is still not obvious. One seller got his listings for Yoda's lightsaber
removed, as they were not the set but instead just bricklinked versions. So even
when selling as incomplete (as without box and instructions, and the display
name tile) they were removed.

Is your collection of parts a set, if it is just a reconstituted equivalent without
any of the extras that make it exclusive such as the instructions or packaging.

It's an interesting question of both ethics and enforceability, isn't
it? For example I have behind me right now Ninjago City and Ninjago City Docks.
Both are complete (they have some cosmetic alterations but I have the parts to
restore them), both have instructions, the Docks has spare sticker sheets and
neither have a box. But my City was bought new at retail by me, while my Docks
was assembled from a combination of "new" parts from BL sellers and Lego. From
an enforceability perspective, what (besides this message!) distinguishes their
status to Bricklink?
I have no intention of ever selling either build, but if I had to I would list
City as a used, complete set, with the correct inventory reassembled. Docks would
have to be broken down into used parts though; while nobody else could know it
wasn't a complete set, I would.

I think there is a difference between new and used here. From Russell's words
in the message I linked, there was a hint that something would be done if people
were selling new sets that were not quite complete but missing what made them
the set rather than a collection of parts put together.

Anything commercial with the External IP is a big no I think. If it wasn't
commercial than this Brickheadz rendition of Wonder Woman would fall into the
clauses of fair use (if designer didn't use existing photo/scene to create
the model though) but once it's commercial it's open to debate.

| Since this is a store event "set" there was never a box and was just a collection
of parts, just like what you would be offering. So I feel as though you could
list as a set.
If the parts you are offering are new, new without instructions.
If the parts are used, used without instructions.
