| I've had several buyers request invoices instead of doing instant checkout,
but I've also had many buyers say that they can't do it.
I currently have a buyer trying to create an order, but he claims the only option
is to select a shipping method.
(I'm sure this has been asked and answered many times, but I'm not seeing
it).

It has something to do with a volume/weight band or item restriction on some
of your items. When I selected parts only it allowed for just instant checkout.
But when I selected one of your sets it only showed me an invoice option.
See attached photo for my invoice method.

There is an option in store settings to allow to request an invoice for orders
that don't fit in any of your instant checkout options. But as the option
says, that will only show when the order can't use any of your instant checkout
options.
If you want the option available for all orders you'll have to create a new
shipping option that is set to manual instead of automatic. In my own store I
have created one that I call manual invoice.

100% with Paul's response; it's simply that the manual requests coming
in hit the catch-all that you have enabled for your store, but the other buyers
who only see IC options fit into your matching IC shipping options and were only
shown those. The only option, if you wish to always allow manual invoices, is
to add that a shipping option.

| Ah thanks. I was confused because people had created orders in the past that
seemed like they should have allowed instant checkout with cheapest shipping
but they required invoicing. Must have been a missing figure weight or something.
Think I’ll treat them as one offs and adjust the item size instead of always
allowing.
Thanks!

One other thing to keep in mind. There is an option in store management for
"Seller Protection" If you have this selected, newer buyers still will not see
the quote option.
