| For shipping from the U.S. to a European country with the new BrickLink VAT payment
system, BrickLink's guidance says "You must share BrickLink’s IOSS number
directly with your shipping carrier so that the shipping carrier can submit this
information electronically."
There was a place to enter this in the old PayPal shipping system but I don't
see one in ShipStation. Am I missing something, or how are people dealing with
this now?
Thanks,
Steve

| Thanks for the response. I should have been more clear - I'm asking about
the PayPal-integrated version of ShipStation. I see in their help documentation
that there are several ways to do it in their full-blown version, but the PayPal
version doesn't expose any of them (like the one you described) as far as
I can tell.

| I got a response from a "PayPal Shipping by ShipStation" service rep:
| Currently, we do not have a way to add an IOSS number in the shipping center,
so the recipient will need to pay for the import VAT for international labels.
Alternatively, you can reach out to the carrier directly to create a label that
includes the IOSS number. ... I have submitted feedback to our developers
internally about adding this feature.
|
So, another reason PayPal's new shipping is inferior to what it replaced.

Try using Pirate Ship instead - I'm pretty certain they support IOSS

Thanks, that's what I ended up doing, and they do support it.

| I'm super late to this conversation - apparently I haven't had a VAT
order since I was forced onto ShipStation on PP a few months ago. I ran into
this problem today and got the same response from ShipStation. They said they
will pass on the recommendation, but seeing as they told you that a year ago,
I won't hold my breath.
I also ended up using Pirate Ship. I am more and more tempted to just switch
completely to PirateShip for my shipping. First class/FC international packages
are the same price as Shipstation, but if you use flat rate often, Pirate Ship
has cheaper flat rate prices.
