Hello, I'm a little confused with how to prepare an international order I
received recently. It came with a pdf file named BricklinkVATReceiptEU and I'm
instructed to include it in an envelope attached to my package.

Specifically, its says "An order receipt, along with your customs invoice, should
be included on your parcel for efficient processing at the customs office."

If this file is my order receipt, what is my customs invoice? Additionally,
on the bottom of VAT receipt file it says "This is NOT an invoice for VAT purposes."
Do I need another document that IS an invoice for VAT purposes?

My final question is what I'm supposed to do with the IOSS number that Bricklink
emailed me. The email says I have to share this number with my shipping carrier
(USPS), but I'm not allowed to write it on the package. I don't see any
spot on the customs form for this number.
How do I give USPS this number so that my customer isn't charged twice
for VAT?

I've shipped a lot of international packages, but I've never had to prepare
documents apart from a usps customs form. I can't seem to find any other
FAQ for this on Bricklink so I'd truly appreciate some pointers from more
experienced sellers. Thank you !heaps! in advance

It's been a while since I had an order that needed this stuff, but I'll
try to remember. I used an adhesive backed packing slip pocket that I bought
at office depot that I stuck to the back of the bubble mailer. I printed the
VAT document and the BrickLink order detail page. I only printed the first and
last page. You just need the portion at the top with the order info, and the
bottom section with the customer info. You can also just use an invoice template
from Google Docs. Customs just needs to know how much the merchandise costs to
calculate the VAT. As for the IOSS number, I haven't had to deal with it,
so I couldn't tell you.
