| Hi!
I submitted an order on August 7th from Germany to US. I still have not received
the order. Seller believes it is lost and says it was shipped. I have no reason
to not believe seller, took a while to get ahold of him but seems above board.
What are the normal expectations/actions in a situation like this?
Thanks!

In my experience, the seller refunded me the full amount and then requested compensation
from the delivery company / courier responsible for the shipment.
If you eventually receive the package (like I did) just contact the seller to
pay the amount you paid when first submitting the order.

The seller is probably right that the order is lost (as far as I know it should
be there within 2 weeks - my orders to the US usually take a few days), but he's
definitely wrong not sending you a full refund.
You can start an NSS to help motivate the seller a little bit to get you either
your Lego or your money back. Read about it here:

It would be normal to expect a full refund from the seller.

Hi,
I still consider the possibility that the package gets delivered. This depends
on the method the seller shipped it. As far as I know, for now, orders from Germany
are shipped on surface (ship) and takes 6-12 weeks "in average". This depends
also on the shipping method the seller used. (Brief/letterBox, packet,...)
I also know the delivery time within us is not always the fastest.
I suggest you to wait one more month. Since 4 years ago, I have bought and received
over 200 packages from Germany and none was lost however sometime it took 6 weeks
(before Corona and shipped on AIR!)
For example, see this tracking from Switzerland that I am still waiting to receive.
It is not arrived in Canada after 7 weeks:

and remember, that ships are currently backed up at many US ports, awaiting unloading.
So it could be on a ship, sitting just off one of the US ports.

The seller should have tracking for it.
As far as I know, no matter if you send it DHL or Deutsche Post (which is DHL
in the end), he would have needed to fill out a customs form which would provide
him with tracking. So you can see if it was shipped.
Ask him to check the "Kassenbeleg" (receipt in German) and there should be tracking
on it.
If he does not have any proof, he will also not be able to claim anything from
them.
I had packages take up to two months, but always had tracking.
You should get a full refund on your order though.

With the current state of the Postal System worldwide, I'd urge patience.
Had an order to Italy that was sent in July, finally got to it's destination,
all these months later.
