Hey everyone. Just wanted to ask and this is probably not allowed as it will
take fees out of Bricklink but wanted to inquire anyways.
Since I have a 2 figure limit in my Bricklink store due to my figures being the
lowest prices in the USA, Is it allowed to link people to my brickowl store on
our splash page if they want to buy more than 2 figures as we dont have the figure
limit there but have them at way higher prices there for our customers who need
more than 2 figures.

Also please dont bash on the terms of my store. My customers like it and thats
all that matters.

Thanks for all the help!!

So, if I'm understanding this correctly, you are inquiring about the correctness
of using BrickLink to drive traffic to your BrickOwl store, where you charge
higher prices.

Do I understand this correctly ?

Keep in mind, that when the two figs on BL sell, the listing would become invisible.
You don't get extra millage from a zero quantity listing, nor is it obvious
who the seller was from the price guide page.

What she asked is not sassy but it is exactly what you are asking or was she
wrong? What you are asking / suggesting I think to many here is kind of insulting
to the extent that you are willing to out price other stores in the hope that
you can then lure customers here on BL to your BrickOwl store where your prices
are higher. It is not that you are charging more on BrickOwl with no limitations
that is in any way questionable but that you are even asking if it is okay to
try to lure those customers away from BrickLink by the manner you are hoping
to achieve that that can be rather unpalatable.

Definitely not, it was a clear question to confirm, nothing else. You knew you're
doing something wrong and therefore interpreting this negatively. Take a step
back.

You know you can list your minifigs in different lots on BL?

Say you have 100x minifigs, you can list 2 of them at the low price to limit
people buying more than two, and the 98 others at a higher price (or fewer than
98 if you want to keep stock to replenish the cheaper lot).

Surely you can't expect the answer to this to be yes. Brickowl is a direct
competitor to BL.

See:

https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=97

Linking - Linking to pages outside of BrickLink which offer LEGO brand products
for sale.

Members must not link from their Splash Page, Terms & Conditions, Shipping Policy,
About Me page or items for sale to another site that offers items for sale which
are LEGO brand products.

Maybe bricklink needs to hide a clause in the middle of their terms of service
saying if you link to another site selling LEGO then there is a fee of $200 per
month or part thereof.

Maybe there is an exception if BL can't handle some VAT issues?

That's an idea... instead of forbidding it, make money out of it
