I've been adding inventory to reopen my store. Until last night all was
fine, now this is what I see, all the categories on the left are gone.

I've checked some other stores and see the same thing. Is this an issue
on my end? Or are other people having the same problem?

(Okay, I’ll bite… but then don’t complain I’m posting too much )

If people who read your post had had the same problem, I think they would have
chimed in, so we can start hypothesizing it’s only you.

Have you checked the filters in the store?  The display settings (link just under
the last whatevertrooper)?
Cleaned your cookies?  Or with another browser?

I viewed your post, but I am not having any problems. I tend to believe that
when people do not respond to something, then no one else is having the problem.

usually does the trick. Computers are, at some level, sentient, and they do react
when they see a breaker on the horizon.

By "until last night," do you mean before or after the site maintenance at 10:50-11:00
PM Pacific Time? Is it happening when you view other sellers' stores too?
Because I've had that happen when viewing my store and other stores twice
now, but it's been reset and the problem's gone away with daily maintenance
each time.

Because I've had that happen when viewing my store and other stores twice

It was happening in every store including mine which is why I thought it might
be a BL problem. I knew if I came here someone would have a helpful suggestion
and I was right! Thanks to SylvainLS I was able to figure it out.

It was my own stupidity, not surprising, as soon as he mentioned settings the
light bulb went off. Last night I was trying to figure out if there was a way
to make the featured items page go away because I truly dislike it. Instead
I made everything except that vanish, for every store. Who knew?

From now on I plan to leave the settings alone, I know I'm technologically
challenged and should've known better.

Hi Darcy.

This happens to me when ever I am using Chrome and the store in question has
an active splash page. Either Chrome or BL seems to have a few bugs when being
used together. Another one is when trying to check at a BL store out using Chrome,
when I get to the last page the transaction just will not go through.
