Hi, can anyone help with the diameters of pneumatic hoses, please?

I have a huge amount to list and I have noted some are thinker than the Bricklink
catalog of 4mm. I understand the length can vary as Lego used to supply a 'whole'
length with the user needing to cut to the correct size.

I have some that vary in diameter from 4.3 / 4.4mm and some that are slightly
smaller than 4mm (3.7/3.8). Would this variance be normal for this part?

Many thanks.

Should be fine. the 3mm, 4mm and 7mm notations are meaningful because they refer
respectively to bar width, stud width, and stud holder width. So the decimals
shouldn't really matter for their identification.

Er, a bar is 3.18mm (clips are 3.2mm), a stud is 4.8mm, and if by stud holder,
you mean brick underside tube, it’s 6.51mm.

Well, maybe the descriptions are just rounded numbers, probably to keep it clean.
In sets, "3mm" hoses are held like bars. "4mm" hoses are often used to fit through
technic holes (with some margin, yes) and the "7mm" hoses connect by stud. Just
saying those 3 widths are more use/construction-based semantic categories than
exact measurements.
