as many of you have also experienced; we are also having a hard time with the
ShipStation (one of us has switched the 'p' in ShipStation with a 'T'
and it caught on in our shop.)
The issue we're having is that we printed a label for an order going to Canada
and the label that was printed had a USA address and tracking number with a note
referencing the international tracking number and without the customs form.
We are reluctant to ship it this way.
Anyone else had this experience? is it gonna make it to our customer??
TIA,
THB

That sounds a lot like Pirate ship simple export rate. You ship to somewhere
in NY (usually) and then it gets relabeled and shipped with I'm assuming
a lot of other packages. The most important thing is to not give the customer
that domestic tracking number as it will say delivered. You should be able to
find the actual shipping tracking number in PayPal. Pirate ship uses Ascendia,
not sure what Shipstation uses. I'm slowing moving to pirate ship, it's
been really good, much better than even paypal multi ship as you can do international
on a 4x6 too.

Yes, but even with Pirate Ship's Simple Export Rate, for deliveries to Canada,
it's getting handed off directly from USPS to Canada Post (other countries
go through Asendia USA).

Thank you, so it sounds like standard procedure.
We’ll send it out as is and see what happens.
Do you print out the customs form? We filled it out but it didn’t print.
Thanks again for your help

Nope, it really throws you off, they get the customs form you filled out and
attach for you. I think it might add a few extra days to be re-labeled and then
shipped out but otherwise it has worked very well for about a dozen orders.

Is Pirate Ship much cheaper than Ship Station? Ship Station is actually more
expensive than previous PayPal Shipping, so the change is bad for us. Was wondering
if Pirate Ship is better in that sense.

With Pirate Ship you get the same commercial rate that PayPal used to offer,
whether that is cheaper than Shipstation or not I can't really answer. They
also recently started offering UPS as an option, which is less expensive than
Priority Mail in at least some circumstances.

Ship Station, Pirate Ship, and Pitney Bowes all use USPS Commercial Base Rates.
You can view the current copy of Notice 123 at pe.usps.com. Note that the rates
changed during October, so you be conflating that rate change with the switch
from Pitney Bowes to Ship Station.
