| I have received and order that has a warning (!) besides PAID when i click the
warning its says...
"Paid / Pending - Payment has been submitted but is still being confirmed by
PayPal (typically due to an eCheck payment). Please do not ship until payment
is confirmed. When PayPal confirms that the payment has cleared, the pending
payment icon will no longer show next to the order payment status."
the payment also comes up in my PayPal as pending.
My buyer is getting understandably frustrated that i haven't sent his order
yet as from his side all looks ok.
has anyone had this before and what should i do next?

Sounds like they have paid with an eCheck, which can take around 5-7 days to
clear.
You could send your buyer a screenshot of the PayPal payment showing that it
has not cleared yet and explain you can't send until the payment has cleared.

PayPal is telling you that the funds have not been captured.
They have been requested, possibly authorized, but are pending.
When the capture is complete, then the Pending status will be cleared. You must
wait, and your buyer should be informed that they used a slow transfer method.
While we suspect that this is being caused by an eCheck, that is not the only
possible reason. The funding source may be holding up the transfer, while they
confirm that the request is legitimate. If the transfer is cross border, some
accounts may have special protections in this regard.
